In Writer using labels (example Avery 5167 labels), you are unable to change fonts. Work around changing default font or font size, for document unacceptable. Also changing one "box" does not propagate to other labels. Each label considered individual and not grouped per document.
As with MS Word, Font details can be changed on initial input at label level and propogates to all labels and easily managed. Would love to have similar features and functionality with labels in Libreoffice.

Hi Vic,
Please provide a sample document and a list of steps we can follow to reproduce this problem. Thanks!

@vic : usually working with paragraph styles just does the trick.
Make sure that you are in the first label / frame. Rightclick and choose Change paragraph style...

I would say: WorksForMe..

sample labels that can not be resized easily or font changed

Basically I go to new-> labels. Put in the Address (sample used) choode avery sheet (example 5167 return address) and then hit new document. Format tab is only for the label not the actual address and font used.
Document attached of what is created.
Font/ Paragraph style / Edit select all/ format toolbar are all grey and can not be selected to change font style or size.
Was asking if the box where the address is typed if on a newer version that the wording/address can be highlighted and font and font size be included in the ability to easily change the font size and style.
A preview button would also be welcome.

That is what I ask.
the current way labels are done is not easy or business like.

Thank you.

I can't imagine LibreOffice (File: New: Labels) is working as designed. Setting custom paragraph styles does not avail. The merged document is all in Liberation Serif even though I specify my own font in the source document with the database fields in it. Not supporting fonts would be fairly obtuse because someone might actually want to print barcodes someday.

Thanks for the example. I downloaded, put the cursor in the first frame (clicked inside) choose Change paragraph style from the context menu and did some funny stuff.
Will attach it.
Changing size of labels can only be done when you start a new document.
(Alternatively you can create simple Writer tables with fields, but that misses the synchronize magic..)
Pls ask for more help if needed or read the Help and documentation.
