Vector Sign cut off in Libreoffice and PDF

When using an equation like the following:

vec E vec a
==

The vector sign gets cut off over the E but not the A. The same occurs both in the editor and when exporting to pdf. I've attached a screenshot of the problem.

is it possible to verify this in version 4.3 on your computer?

Indeed 4.2 branch is EOL, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan
