I made the mistake of trying to update Libre Office the other day. On ALL attempts (3, I think), the installation has crapped out, leaving me with NO Libre Office and information that I cannot extract or port to anything else. librepffoce_d154811.exe -- I have also tried the STILL version, same result. I am now hopelessly confused and (P****d). Pardon my French. Before I slash my wrists, what you suggest? Please! I do not want to have to start all over again at this point. John
Try the raw method: 1) uninstall any LO version 2) Remove any remnants LO directory in "program files" or LO installation directories 3) Rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows) or remove it if you don't need to save customization/extensions 4) clean your Windows registry with a free tool (eg: ccleaner) 5) download last mature LO version 4.3.6 (4.4.1 if you want to discover last features but not recommended for production) from official website https://www.libreoffice.org/download 6) Install again BTW: any odf files (odt, ods, odb, odp) are in fact specifically structured zip files. It means you can change their extension to "zip" and unzip them to have their content. Waiting for your feedback.
