Description Jupiter777 2015-03-01 20:57:05 UTC
After installation of LO 4.4.1.2 on Linux Mint 17.1, there is no way I can install desktop integration to launch LO from Menu -> Office.
The only workaround so far has been via Terminal and typing up LibreOffice4.4 at the prompt.
Any near future solution to this annoyance?

Did you use repositories provided by Linux Mint or some ppa?
Comment 2 Jupiter777 2015-03-01 22:11:17 UTC
I did use Linux Mint repositories to install LO 4.2.7 but later on uninstalled it and tried LO 4.4.1.2. It seems like the directory for desktop integration under this newer LO version is gone. Can't use cd desktop-integration -> sudo dpkg -i *.deb once I'm in DEBS.

Bjorn/Michael: any thought? Distrib or LO bug?
Comment 5 Björn Michaelsen 2015-03-02 09:58:55 UTC
This is about TDFs upstream packaging, such troubles dont happen with PPA or distro versions on Debian/Ubuntu.

(The DEBS/ and "desktop-integration" package stuff also isnt needed with distro packages.)

Handing this one over to cloph.

Thanks to all devs that followed up my bug report. Today just out of the blues I see LO 4.4.1.2 desktop integration displayed under Menu -> Office. I have no idea what happened but I didn't do anything special since I reported my bug.
