LibO Writer, open "Styles and formatting" dialog (F11) Right click on a style, context menu contains "New", "Edit" and "Hide". It should also contain "Update style". Right now the "Update style" is visible from two places: a) standard toolbar in styles dropdown has little down button besides every style when hovered with mouse b) "Styles and formatting dialog", first button bar, rightmost button opens a dropdown menu which contains "Update style"
ux team: perhaps an enhancement?
Sorry, of course it's not a bug but an enhancement request.
Totally. ;D
Created attachment 114171 [details] An image showing both the proposed context menu item and where the action is right now
I added an example image. Please take a look at that first. Design team (Jay, Kendy, Heiko) did agree with the idea. I think it was Jay's suggestion to also mark it as an EasyHack.
I took a look again and it seems like "Update" is too vague. Maybe "Update from selection" or something more specific (the same goes for "Update style" which is already present).
As other context menu entries are single words, 'update' seems fine to me but if needs to be longer, than it would be good to use 'Update to Match Selection' as we have in the toolbar styles drop down.
Migrating Whiteboard tags to Keywords: (needsDevEval) [NinjaEdit]
Needed also in other modules as well.
Please add keyword 'needsUXEval' and CC 'libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org' if input from UX is needed.
