Start with a password protected file, go through Properties to change the password. LO allows you to enter a long password, but silently truncates the password if it exceedes some length. e.g. enter new password 33zzzzzzz33[333] You are allowed to do this and save the file. Next try to open with that same file with that same password and it won't work. If you try to open with 33zzzzzzz33[333 it will open. Most people won't think to try a truncated version of the password they set and will never get at the file again. Note - if you try to paste a long password into the Change Password field it will tell you that it was too long and was truncated. That is an acceptable response.
Not reproducible with LO 4.4.1.2, Win 8.1, but this bug was present in past releases.

I can not confirm with password: "12345678901234567890", 20 characters I tried to paste password: "Start with a password protected file, go through Properties to change the password.", 83 characters, and no message about truncting appears.
