Description YVES TANGUY 2015-03-19 22:09:38 UTC
Hello,

here are the commands performed :

1- remove of the LibreOffice 4.1 (sudo apt-get remove --purge libreoffice* , sudo apt-get clean and sudo apt-get autoremove)

2- dowload of the gz files 4.4.1 and langpack.fr

3- Install by using sudo dpkg -i *.deb in /DEBS once unzip performed

4- Install by using sudo dpkg -i *.deb in /DEBS once unzip performed for the lang pack fr

5. Try for opening former doc, odt , docx files : proposal is done for installing other files (indicated they will represent 220 Mb)

6 - Once step 5 performed , to open files is possible but in LibreOffice 3 (yes three !)

Hope it will help.

Best regards,
Yves TANGUY

Hello Yves,

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you rename this LibreOffice user directory ( see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Default_location or http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/903/where-are-the-libreoffice-data-profile-files/ ) and re-test?

Yves,
you have probably two versions of Libreoffice installed. Associate file types with LO 4.4
