Document that pertains to the issue

I'm running Win7 Pro 64bit on an i7 based computer. (If that helps at all)

Baisically, I cannot remove any extra space in the document.
I will say this: I uploaded it to google drive (no problems there), with the extension, and edited it a bit in the cloud on a different computer (that one used an ancient AMD 64 with Windows XP...) then, I downloaded the new version onto my normal computer. It converted it to .docx format without asking, and there is where my problems begin. There are just some spaces that will not go away no matter what I do. Sigh.

Attached is the document (in .docx format) untouched 2and retrieved from a backup:

My guess is it has to do with the XML issues, and the .odt.docx on the end.

1. Format → Styles and Formatting.
2. Default Style → Right Click → Modify.
3. Text Flow tab → Standard → Apply.
4. Indents and Spacing tab → Standard → Apply.
5. Change Line Spacing to Double → Apply.
6. Font tab → change font to TNR → Apply.
7. Save document (I chose MS XML).
8. Select All → apply Default Style.
9. Save document.

You'll need to adjust the headings.

Just going into the Default Style and unchecking “Don't add spaces between paragraphs of the same style” works, but unchecking “Keep with next paragraph” doesn't stick for some reason when saving.

I'm leaving this as UNCONFIRMED.

When you uploaded it to Google Drive, was it with LO?
When you edited it in the cloud, was it with LO?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Please change back to UNCONFIRMED once the information has been provided.

I uploaded it to Google Drive using the Openoffice.org2googledocs extension.
See here: https://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/openoffice.org2googledocs-export-import-to-google-docs-zoho-webdav

I then edited it with Google Docs, their cloud-based word processor (probably based off of some open office code)

Please update to the latest LO and use the in-built CMIS to connect to Google Drive.

Updated to latest version. (Fresh, not still)

Bug is still existent, tried everything I could think of.

Sorry, but I could'nt find the CMIS option for connecting to a server.

Check the box under Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> General -> Use LibreOffice dialogue boxes. Now when you use open or save the dialogue has a Servers button.

I don't think the issue you are having is due to LO. It is most likely the extension or when you edited it in Google Docs.

Ok, I will let the people at google know. I just thought that the xml had something to do with the situation.

I agree with you about it being something to do with the xml. There are several factors that could have led to the malformed xml. That extension is over three and a half years old and specifications have changed in that time. If it uploads/downloads the whole file for LO to then use, or if it parses the xml, I don't know. Then there is Google Docs.

Set to RESOLVED NOTOURBUG.

Great, glad to know it;s not libre office's issue. I sent google a note, along with the link to this bug report.
