Created attachment 114491 [details] Little file for Testcase I've tried to write part of a sentence in front of the text in several cells in Calc. To achieve this I tried the "Search/Replace" function with regular expressions. I've marked the cells in question (A2:A5), searched for the regex ".+" and would have replaced with "This is a &" In theory this should change for example cell A3 from "Car" into "This is a Car" When I click on "replace all" Calc crashes to Desktop. Some little error Box is shortly appearing before the crash, but it's too fast to read. I made a little file for reference and attached it. regards, Nimrod (It may be that my bug is a duplicate to 45437, but at least this means its still unresolved)
Hi @nimrod, thanks for reporting. I can't reproduce. Win7x64 Version: 4.2.8.0.0+ Build ID: 1fc1d0d7d38bb16832d0d78d78682ed2d5f8716f TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:libreoffice-4-2, Time: 2015-01-08_03:10:08 Version: 4.4.2.2 Build ID: c4c7d32d0d49397cad38d62472b0bc8acff48dd6 To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you rename this LibreOffice user directory ( see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Default_location or http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/903/where-are-the-libreoffice-data-profile-files/ ) and re-test? Please when replying change the status to unconfirmed.
Okay I renamed the user folder and couldn't reproduce the bug either. Seems like this solved my problem. Is there anything I can do to help additionally? Does it make sense to look further into the matter for corrupted files, or is this already patched? Can this problem happen again and corrupt the now new user folder as well after some time?
Thanks for test with new profile. Closing as worksforme. As I know, nobody check corrupted files and this problem can occur again in future.
@Nimrod: Do you happen to have the old renamed user profile folder still around? If so, please tar/zip it and attach to this bug so we can investigate, thanks.
Created attachment 114679 [details] Archive of the old user profile that showed the buggy behaviour I've uploaded a zipped version of the buggy user profile, hope it helps.
