ODF file showing what is wrong

Using LibreOffice Math I am trying to enter an equation involing adot squared. I am unable to make the adot squared look right. The dot is centered above the combination of adot squared, rather than being immediately above just the "a".

Please attach a screen clip as .PNG (perhaps with some annotation).

In cases like this, where it is likely a font issue, we need that in addition to the ODF document to be able to see the glyphs that are misbehaving on your system.

Also, please describe your OS and graphics, as well as list the Help -> About and copy paste the build information you have installed.

Buzz,

Just realized you are having a syntax issue, should work correctly if you bracket it and enter:

{dot a}^{2}
