I have the following text: I write a bug I want to modify the character spacing of the 'space' character between 'I' and 'write' by selecting it, Format > Character > Position > Spacing > Expanded > 1pt (the rest of the text has been set to 2pt previously). When moving around the cursor, it goes back automatically to 2pt.
Works fine for me in Version: 4.4.2.2 Build ID: c4c7d32d0d49397cad38d62472b0bc8acff48dd6 Locale : fr_ with default Liberation Serif font Can not confirm alleged buggy behaviour. Please try with the latest production release of LibreOffice. Your report states LO 4322, which is now quite old. Also indicate which version of Mac OSX you are using, and whether you are using a 32bit or 64bit version of LibreOffice. If you are using an unusual font, please specify which one and where we might be able to obtain a copy, preferably an open source font. Setting to NEEDINFO pending receipt of requested information. Pleass set to UNCONFIRMED once requested information has been provided.
Ok I will test that. Is the 4.4.2.2 version released under a plateform? I'm using: - MacOS 10.9.5 (plateform I found the bug) - ElementaryOS Luna - Window 7
If you can test on all of those OSes with the latest production release of LibreOffice, even better. For ElementaryOS, better to install the TDF downloads of LibreOffice for testing rather than the distrib provided ones.
I download the 4.4.2.2 fresh release and the problem is still here. Are you sur you understood what was my problem? I'm speaking about single character spacing (and in this case, the character is a space).

I'm speaking about single character > spacing (and in this case, the character is a space). I did what you described in the original bug submission : 1) Opened Writer 2) Typed the phrase. 3) Selected the entire phrase and set Format > Character > Position > Spacing > Expanded to 2pt 4) Then slected the space between I and write and selected Format > Character > Position > Spacing > Expanded to 1pt. If this isn't what you are doing then you might want to put explicit instructions on how to reproduce here so that I can try again.
You're describing exactly the step I'm doing so I don't understand why you're not reproducting the bug. How can we investigate further? I can show you via teamviewer or any remote access software you might consider? If you want we can chat on my irc: phnt.io / #hackstack

I'm using 10.10.3 I'm only occasionally on irc, and then usually only on the libreoffice qa or dev channel at freenode
@MArtin : is this still an issue for you in the latest production release of LibreOffice (still or fresh) ?
I update to 5.0.2.2 and cannot reproduce the bug.
