1. New Text Document. 2. Edit → Track Changes → Record Changes on. 3. Type “tesst” and Enter. 4. Right click on “tesst”. Result: All of the track changes icons in the context menu do not appear. Expected Result: Icons appear. If you click at the end of the word/paragraph then the icons appear. If you double click on the word then the icons appear. Interestingly, with spellchecking, no other options exist, such as character and paragraph, unless the word is selected. Should track changes appear at all? If you select a word to correct the spelling, that is not recorded with track changes. Version: 4.4.2.2 Build ID: c4c7d32d0d49397cad38d62472b0bc8acff48dd6
Yep, I see this in 4.4, but not in 5.0. In 4.4, right-click selects the word. In 5.0 it doesn't. Gordo: you can make a note to test this with 4.4.3 RC2, when it comes out :) Win 7 Pro 64-bit, Version: 4.4.3.1 Build ID: b2f347f2ac68821efc00b6f1793cda90af748118 Locale: fi_FI Version: 5.0.0.0.alpha1+ (x64) Build ID: f0edb677f09ad338e22ac3b5d91497b4479e0b3c TinderBox: Win-x86_64@42, Branch:master, Time: 2015-04-27_01:54:20 Locale: fi_FI
Reproducible in 4.4.3.2.
Adding regression per comment 1
Nope, doesn't seem to be a regression, as the icons are gone in these as well (tested on Windows): Versio: 4.3.0.1 Käännöksen ID: 67f5430184326974072b65403ef1d9d934fc4481 LibreOffice 3.5.0rc3 Käännöksen ID: 7e68ba2-a744ebf-1f241b7-c506db1-7d53735 (My comment 1 mentioned that the newer version doesn't have the problem any more)
Btw. these methods don't show the icons in 3.5 or 4.3: If you click at the end of the word/paragraph then the icons appear. If you double click on the word then the icons appear. Lowering priority and severity.
