After restart Libreoffice program menus appeared in the Mate application menu; however, Libroffice lost several file associations, for instance associations with desktop links to .ods documents, as well as icons in desktop links were not recognized any more. An example of content of desktop link is provided below:

#!/usr/bin/env xdg-open
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Type=Link
Icon[en_US]=ooo-math3.0
URL=file:///media/DATA/B%20-%20projekti/Kompetences%20centrs/Admin/Finansu%20kopsavilkums%202011-2015.ods
Name[en_US]=Finansu kopsavilkums
Name=Finansu kopsavilkums
Icon=ooo-math3.0

The solution was to change associations manually using Ubuntu Tweak program.
