Test on: Calculate Linux 14.16 (Kde5 + i3), Kubuntu 15.04 LibreOffice 4.4.1.2, 4.4.2.2 (gentoo compiled and debian binaries both) Intel x86_64 I have a doc file with 444 access right opened and a clear Impress presentation. Then I copy-paste text from doc to Impress all goes right. But if I try to save file, LibreOffice hangs or give error "Error saving document". If Impress file is never saved, when LibreOffice will experienced 100% cpu load and processes will hangs.
Could not reproduce. Used .doc file, chmod 444.. Impress saved pasted text ok. Ubuntu 15.04 64-bit Version: 4.4.2.2 Build ID: 40m0(Build:2) Locale: en_US

(In reply to Andrey from comment #5) > Comment on attachment 115417 [details] > Error file > > I forgot. File is in /tmp dir OK, I could repro with this file. Error saving the document Untitled1: Write Error. The file could not be written. I also got a hang on first try, didn't even save then. Doesn't need to be in /tmp Error already in 4.2.8.2. However, it does not give an error on 3.5.0! Adding bibisect request. This appears to have begun at the below commit. Adding Cc: to vmiklos@collabora.co.uk; Could you possibly take a look at this one? Thanks (I can't reproduce a hang, although if you paste the *whole* .doc into a presentation slide it's certainly quite slow after) commit 07d01742c69f1c0335bc7e1b57abd8341ce255e7 Author: Miklos Vajna <vmiklos@suse.cz> Date: Thu May 10 16:45:50 2012 +0200 i#119219 fix non-unicode RTF export There were two problems here: - non-unicode charset being set to Shift JIS for all UTF-8 text - non-unicode text using UTF-8 Change-Id: I533d3e950a4ebd611b5d5db8a95e724e729a641f
I could reproduce the saving error on libreoffice-5-0-branch-point, but not on master. bisect says commit 0955bfed86e55f823fb9686f52dbffc36558b5d5 Author: Mark Hung <marklh9@gmail.com> Date: Sun Aug 30 16:08:20 2015 +0800 Fix tdf#93438 Impress generate abnormal style when copy-pasting Is the commit that made the problem go away -> marking as a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 93438 ***
