If I select "Tools->Solver", then Calc requires JRE and crashes
Both JRE 8.x and JRE 7.x are installed

Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit build of LibreOffice?
Does the bitness of JRE match?

It doesn't crash for me, LibO & JRE are 32-bit.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
