Show hidden Paragraphs not working from menu View
Could not reproduce in Windows. 1. New Text Document. 2. Type “This is a test.”. 3. Place cursor at end of paragraph and Insert → Fields → More Fields → Functions tab. 4. Select Hidden Paragraph and type TRUE into Condition box, Insert, and Close. 5. Toggle View → Hidden Paragraphs. Result: Hidden Paragraph is hidden. Windows Vista 64 Version: 4.4.3.2 Build ID: 88805f81e9fe61362df02b9941de8e38a9b5fd16 Is this happening with a particular document? You could always try resetting your profile by renaming your current one: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User_Profile Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED once you have provided the necessary information.
If you have a document with styles that are marked "hidden," the command View / Hidden Paragraphs / does not expose them. I tried to have a document using the styles "text body" and "Heading 1" and "Heading 2." I marked Heading 2 under "font effects" as "hidden." The Command View / Hidden Paragraphs does not expose Heading 2 instances.
@Susan The Help button on the dialogues will tell you what you need to know. Set to NEEDINFO because it is directed at the person who reported the bug.

On the Character -> Font Effects tab the Help button brings up this: Hidden Hides the selected characters. To display the hidden text, ensure that Non-printing Characters is selected in the View menu. You can also choose Tools - Options - LibreOffice Writer - Formatting Aids and select Hidden text. Set to RESOLVED NOTABUG.
It was invalid in that it works with the option of the view menu
Hidden paragraphs and hidden text are two different things. If you need help I suggest visiting http://ask.libreoffice.org
