Guess ticking styles of pages where should and where not be a header or footer is unusefull. Instead of this this menu should act only with current page style and offer inserting some info to footer|header. For instance pointer is on Basic page style. You click Insert - Footer - Page number. After this Writer creates footer in current page and adds there page number. BTW this will solve one of the most difficult part of LO for newbies and post-MSO - inserting page number. Really hard task :)

Hello Yan, I believe your suggestion is something i had already suggested in bug 86630, where i suggested it to be Insert > Page Number > Into Footer.
They differ. What I suggest rearranging these menus like: Insert Footer Page number Author Time Header 1 Header 2 .... Header Page number Author Time Header 1 Header 2 .... But both options will be much better then current.
Instead of Header 1,2 - Title 1,2.
Hi Yan, The Header and Footer submenus are generated based on the document and list the available header and footer styles that can be chosen and not inserting anything into it, which is why the solution would be to create a submenu under Page Number to provide insertion of the page number into the header and footer.
