I have a self-made build of git master (as of yesterday, but I've been seeing this for some 1 week already) on Linux with the following build options: --enable-kde4 --disable-gtk3 --disable-gtk --without-java --without-doxygen --with-system-cairo --disable-extension-update I'd say it's especially --enable-kde4 switch that makes the issue not reproducible on Windows (ain't no KDE there) It'd be interesting to see if someone with KDE4 plugin on Linux can reproduce. If daily builds contain KDE4 plugin, it can be forced in any desktop environment like this: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 ./soffice --writer
Adjusting the summary, as I see those ghost checkboxes and even radiobuttons in various other places in UI, for example: (insert some shape) Format -> Area... -> Shadow (checkbox) Format -> Area... -> Transparency (radiobutton)
It gets worse, those ghost checkboxes multiply as the user clicks in the dialogs. For example: 1. New Writer document 2. Insert -> Manual Break... => a dialog with ghost radiobutton at 'Page Break' line appears 3. Click 'Column Break' => now also 'Column Break' line has two radiobuttons, a real one and a ghost one
I built LibO with Katarina's build options and I can finally see all the glitches after launching with the command: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kde4 ./soffice On Kubuntu 15.04 with Plasma 5, the extra checkboxes are not so nasty, because they are only borders with no fill. Confirmed also the page break ghost radio button. Version: 5.1.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 40dbc52755a905b4437d861360d3b8069d5b53b1 Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8)
I can confirm this problem with Version: 5.0.0.0.beta3 Build ID: 00m0(Build:0) Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8) on openSuSE 13.1 (64-bit), installed from the Open Build Service repository LibreOffice:/Factory/ Also with my own builds of 5.0 beta, both under KDE Plasma 4 and Plasma 5 Other problem on all these systems, probably related: Buttons with keyboard focus don't show text, just an empty square of dotted lines.
