Description sunrisingsoul 2015-06-12 17:33:56 UTC
Using orca to read AutoCorrect Dialog in writer has some accessibility issues.

These include the following tabs within the dialog

AutoCorect Options > Options Tab

Orca sees the table, but doe snot recognize the table elements.

Arrowing up and down, orca just announces "Check Box Checked Greyed" or "Check box not check Greyed"

Orca does not recognize that this is a table of options that has a options such as "capitalize first letter of every sentence" and does not notice that there is a"(M)" and "(T)" elements for related check boxes.

Orca should be able to use the table navigation to navigate this dialog and check the individual boxes.

Orca should announce which table column you are in.

Auto Correct Options > Localized Options Tab

The issue related to this tab is same as above.

This is a table, and has the same issue as in the Options Dialog

hi there, LibO 4.4.5.2 and 5.0.2.2 are out.
is this bug still reproducible with latest LibO releases?

Hello th ere,

Yes.

to reproduce, do the following with Orca running.

Open Libreffice, press Alt+D for new document.

Afterwards, press Alt+T to enter the tools menu. Arrow down to AutoCorrect Options.

Here, use Control+Tab until you hear Options.

Press Tab until you hear "Replacements and Exceptions for Language"

You will hear Orca say
Check Box "checked, if it is checked" or "Check box not checked, if it is not checked."

Afterwards you will hear Orca say "greyed"

Arrowing down through the list does not announce the item that is highlighted.
Orca does not seem to be detecting the second check box, and is only detecting the first check box.

This dialog is a good representation of how some of the other dialog behave in the Auto Correct Options Dialog.

I don't have Linux to retest, however since 4.4.x is close to it's end of life I suggest to give a try to LibO 5.0.2.2

Invalid formatting in the options tab of AutoCorrect
Comment 7 Alex ARNAUD 2016-05-02 16:17:17 UTC
Dear contributor,
in version 5.1.2 I can reproduce the bug.

Steps to reproduce :
1) Open LibreOffice writer
2) Open tools menu (alt+t)
3) Go to the autocorrect sub memnu
4) Open the "AutoCorrect Options..."
5) Open the tab "options" (third tab on the left)

It seems that the table is not formated correctly. See the related screenshots for details.

Best regards.
