MS-PP: different layouts have different slides

Currently there are no master-pages in Impress with different backgrounds depending different layouts. Powerpoint (on screenshot) offers different background depending on your layout. For example First slide has nice dark backgroung, but regular slides have white background.
Guess that slide styles would solve this problem, page layouts will be replaced by more productive slide styles. And master pages replaced by set of styles. (Similar to MS Word sets of styles)

The idea appeared in my mind due to this competition. http://blog.documentfoundation.org/2015/06/18/contribute-to-libreoffice-5-0-with-a-brand-new-impress-template/
I'm sure that templates will be much better with such possibilities

Hello Yan,

From how i understand that Impress works is that it works differently to powerpoint, in that it separates slide layout from slide masters. The slide masters have the design/backgrounds an then you can overlay any of the 12 slide layouts above it and it still. In powerpoint, you would have a slide master, which can have a different design/background depending on they type of slide layout you choose.

Please add keyword 'needsUXEval' and CC 'libreoffice-ux-advise@lists.freedesktop.org' if input from UX is needed.
