Description Brock McNuggets 2015-07-14 21:40:24 UTC
When rotating an image, the mask does not rotate with it.

Shown here: https://youtu.be/w6Qcl-w7s5c?t=3m30s

(Older version, but does the same thing on current on Linux and OS X)

Confirming on Windows 7 sp1 64-bit, en-US with
Version: 4.4.3.2
Build ID: 88805f81e9fe61362df02b9941de8e38a9b5fd16
Locale: en_US

However, the terms in LibreOffice is "Contour" not mask, and there is a tool "Edit Contour" provided to make adjustments when the text is being wrapped to an image. With the editor open an "Auto Contour" button is provided that will correctly morph the contour, aka. mask.

Issue is that when Contour mode Wrap is active, the contour is not being "auto" adjusted as the image is rotated in its 90 deg increments.

Work on bug 34423 got us only part way, we are able to rotate raw bitmaps--and those at 90 deg increments.

Is correcting the Auto Contour piece worth pursuing, alone? But, perhaps in context of adding rotation for other image formats (EMF/WMF and SVG), and achieving full range of rotation angles as Draw now supports?

@Tomaž, thoughts?

ODF document with image in Contour Wrap mode

rotate the image (VLC cone stretched), the Contour Wrap mode does not adjust. Use image context menu Wrap -> Edit Contour and select "Auto Contour" to adjust to 90 deg rotation.

If in Contour Wrap mode, contour mask should follow rotation.

Thank you. You can also turn Contour off and back on, but you should not need the world around.

I think that would be a HUGE step forward.

Yes, sure.. it is expected that the mask rotates with the image.
Comment 7 Xisco Faulí 2017-09-29 08:52:27 UTC Comment hidden (obsolete)

With implementing the feature, to rotate a Writer image by an arbitrary angle, it is fixed.
