In OpenOffice and earlier versions of LibreOffice I could change the column order of a grid control by means of drag&drop. Actually this was the one and only method to change the column order.
It used to work in design mode and while using the form as well.
When I try with LO 4.4.4, the mouse cursor turns into a stop sign indicating that the chosen object is not draggable.

Steps to reproduce:
While in Writer or Calc, hit F4
Right-click Bibliography > Edit Database...
Right-click the biblio table in the tables section > Form Wizzard...
Add 3 arbitrary fields and finish the wizzard.
In the resulting form with a grid control you can not drag&drop the column headers.
Close the Base document with or without saving the form.

please tell your O/S.
it would be important to know which was the last working version of LibO and which one is the first withe bug.

if you are under Windows you can find almost all old releases in portable package (so you don't need to uninstall your current standard one) frome here.
