Created attachment 117725 [details] Demonstration of Bug Ubuntu 15.04 x64 LibreOffice 4.4.2.1 (also confirmed on 5.0) - probably inherited from OOo but not confirmed Description: If you use a tab in a heading and then make an automatic TOC, the TOC gets completely screwed up: 1) It seems like text to the right of the tab gets "right justified"; 2) Lots of periods get placed in the entry (between the text to the left and right of the tab) Workaround is possible but it's not perfect: 1) allow manual changes to table; 2) Delete periods between the text to the left and right of the tab; 3) Add spaces to "mimic a tab" Two ways to reproduce: 1) Open writer; 2) Select Heading 1 style from sidebar dropdown; 3) Write "test"; 4) Push tab 5) Write "another test" 6) Insert ToC a) On 4.4 Insert -> Indexes and Tables -> Indexes and Tables -> Ok on dialog Observed: Tab is replaced with a lot of periods; Expected: Tab is treated like a tab Another way: Do steps 1-3 4) Insert the table but allow manual changes a) On 4.4 Insert -> Indexes and Tables -> Indexes and Tables - uncheck "Protected Against Manual Changes" -> OK 5) Manually click into the ToC entry ("test"), place cursor at the end of "test" and push tab Observed: Same bad behavior, tab replaced with a ton of periods Expected: You get just a tab Marking as: Minor - there is a workaround; Low - default for
