Description Mikko Ahlroth 2015-08-16 17:14:48 UTC
I am running LO 5.0.0.5 on OS X 10.10.5. LO crashes if I open it to the start center and then press Cmd+O or use File -> Open from the menu BEFORE doing anything else.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice from the LibreOffice.app icon. The start center opens.
2a. WITHOUT clicking on anything or defocusing the window, press Cmd+O to open a file.
2b. OR choose File -> Open from the menu.
3. A dialog saying "LibreOffice 5.0 - Fatal Error" and "Given module is not a frame nor a window, controller or model." opens. When you close the dialog, LO closes.

Expected behaviour:
LO should open the file dialog and allow me to open a file.

If I click on any part of the UI or defocus and refocus the window, Cmd+O and File -> Open work normally.

I could not find a similar bug with search.

@Mikko : did you notice the same behaviour with previous versions of LibreOffice, or does it only occur with LO 5005 ?

Do you have Java installed ? If so, which version(s) ?
Do you have any network mounted shares or USB mounted file systems ?

I am downloading the 10.10.5 update now so will test myself.

I get no crashes with LO 5005 and 10.10.4, but that first Cmd-O is very slow. Perhaps the OSX scheduler kicks in more vigorously in 10.10.5 and dumps LO for not responding, or perhaps there is indeed a file system problem as people have been seeing with OSX El Cap beta.

I had 4.4.x before this version and it did not have this problem. I have Java 1.8.0_51 installed.

I don't have network shares or USB file systems, everything is local. I have a regular HFS+ filesystem.

No repro for me.

Version: 5.0.0.5
Build ID: 1b1a90865e348b492231e1c451437d7a15bb262b
Locale : fr-FR (fr.UTF-8)

OSX 10.10.5

1) Started LibreOffice
2) Waited for StartCenter to appear
3) Directly pressed Cmd-O keys
4) Finder dialog opens, no crash

@Mikko: any assistive technology tools activated ?
