Description Loknath Bharti 2015-08-19 18:07:08 UTC
I downloaded Libreoffice 5, only to find that Font rendering is blurrier than it was in earlier versions. A bit of clarity can be achieved with Anti-aliasing off, but it's still blurry. When the UI shows crisp fonts, why are they blurred in the document?

The problem is specific to Mac.

@Loknath : which version did you download ? From the Apple Store or from TDF download page ?

Yesterday from the TDF!

Comment 5 Alex Thurgood 2015-08-20 17:26:18 UTC
@Loknath : please indicate which version of LibreOffice displays the font correctly.

Please also indicate the font family you are using which displays incorrectly.

A sample document uploaded to this bug report would be helpful

Almost all of them are a little blurry. But disabling "Screen font antialiasing" under Preferences -> LibreOffice -> View, improves the display. It was better with 4.4 and has gotten worse with the one downloaded yesterday, i.e.,

Version: 5.0.0.5
