Comments Typed vs. Highlighted

Text in comments boxes appears highlighted in grey. Copy/pasting or cut/pasting text into a box makes it highlighted in black.

Confirmed with v5.0.1.2 under mint 17.2 x64.
Confirmed with v4.4.5.2 under mint 17.2 x64.
Unconfirmed with v4.3.7.2 under mint 17.2 x64.

If you paste a comment to another, the background of the second one becomes black.
If you check 'format all comments' you'll see that the font effect changed from 'automatic' to black. If you try to change the font effect back to 'automatic' *ALL* comments become black.

Doesn't happen with the 4.3 branch, but does with the 4.4 branch and higher.

I agree, this certainly used to happen 100% of the time in 4.4. I'm using 5.0.2.2 and the problem seems to be completely fixed.
