While I don't have any issues with LibreOffice, I keep hearing the excuse that "I tried it once and it didn't have this one feature that I needed and Microsoft Office did" when trying to convince others to try it. However, they never remember what the feature is when I'm talking to them. My thought is that this issue can be mitigated by placing a prominent and inviting button on the interface so they can report where a feature is missing or hard to find.

I like the idea, but I'm not sure how best to implement it. What we have currently is the 'Send Feedback' menu item that does include some information (including the currently-running module) over to Bugzilla so that one can file an enhancement request. But: 1) Using Bugzilla still takes time and energy (particularly for anyone who's a newbie to bug tracking) 2) We don't convey very much or very specific information about the running program, putting more responsibility on the user to report what they want and where in the program it should exist. I'm going to tentatively put this into NEW, but it will need a certain amount of engineering to get off the ground. If you have strong programming experience or are interested in learning more about LibreOffice, this could be interesting to investigate.
I think this would satisfy the need, so closing as duplicate: Bug 91874 - A Search by function or keyword over main menu-- similar to SpotLight, Tell Me, or Ubuntu's HUD *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 91874 ***
