Description Terry Rankine 2015-09-07 07:12:03 UTC
Starting with an old presentation (from an old version - 4.2.1)

I have an image container on the screen,
I duplicate the slide 15ish times, then on the image container on the slide - change the graphic.

when in presentation mode - the graphic jumps 1px - not on all systems, but if it happens, on a system - it happens every time - so as I flick through the slide show, one of my slides is 1px off. the exact same file on a system right next to it - is completely fine.

I am not crazy - i have 15 users all reporting the same thing.

any ideas?

Do I need to change the image on every 16 slides (by right-click - Replace image)?
Does "image container" in your vocabulary mean something specific, like an image that is linked or something? Or is it irrelevant, if image is embedded or linked?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
Comment 2 Terry Rankine 2015-09-17 00:02:06 UTC
Image container = imaginary box all images live in.

1. Insert an image
2. right click on it - change image
3. new image is inside the old boundaries/container.

When the bug occurs - completely random. Its like there is a hidden grid, that due to some weird rounding, it shifts every once in a blue moon.

I can not verify this bug with a NEW presentation in the NEW versions.
I can ONLY make this occur with an OLD presentation, in the NEW versions.
Its like there is weird compatibility layers loading or running.

Embeded or linked - it does it with either option.

I am not sure unconfirmed is a correct status , un-reproducable maybe - but it is a 'confirmed' issue.

We require independent confirmation from someone else for all reports.

You could attach the old presentation and then we could hopefully be able to confirm.

Does this weird issue still occur with current 5.1.6 or 5.2.3 version?
