apparently due to bug 94126, text loses attributes when you re-open the file and the text formatting does not wrap the same way as when the file was saved. this bug is a nuisance compared to 94126 which precludes users from using libreoffice entirely.
1. Inserted image to paragraph, let it stay at optimal page wrap. 2. Directly formatted paragraph to have a blue gradient background (Area). 3. Saved & reloaded. Gradient bg stayed. Please give steps for reproducing. Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
1.) enter text 2.) format page 3.) format paragraph 4.) format character 5.) format image 6.) save 7.) close LO 8.) re-open file in LO 9.) observe image, page, paragraph, and/or character formatting lost. for in-depth examples see bug 94126 re LO itself and various output: pdf png text xhtml
Not reproduced with .ODT. With .DOC, the character formatting bled to the preceding words (I set font size to be bigger in one word), but this is a different problem than the one described here. Are you reproducing this with an .ODT file as well? Only on a single computer? If yes, you could try this: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile Win 7 Pro 64-bit, Version: 5.0.1.2 (32-bit) Build ID: 81898c9f5c0d43f3473ba111d7b351050be20261 Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI)
i will look into the profile business, but this seems an unlikely source of the problem. when the people wanted me to try/review LO i had an old 4.x and removed it entirely and installed a fresh 4.4.3.2. the only work done through this image is this very project. the firms, supra, are all non-profits with the usual tight budgets. their O/S range is mostly XP to Vista with less than 25% on 7. thus, LO would have to work with this range. i did try using LO on an XP machine (.doc data file from Vista), but got the same results. these firms can only work with doc/xls, docx/xlsx, and pdf due to external document interchange requirements.
Nothing done since nearly exact 2 years. Can't reproduce the issue with master 6.0.0 from 2017-09-13, therefore I will close it as WORKSFORME. If someone can give us reproducible steps or attach a file with that another person can reproduce the issue, please reopen the bug as UNCONFIRMED. Thank you for reporting the bug and helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards.
