Description sworddragon2 2015-09-12 00:43:12 UTC
In Writer if I'm going to the menu bar -> Help -> "About LibreOffice" I'm noticing if I'm selecting text from the middle of a letter to the right the initial letter gets also selected but if I'm doing this to the left it doesn't get selected anymore. This behavior here works also different from the document as the selected initial letter seems to depend if more than 50% of it would get selected and it works consistent for both directions.

Hi Sword Dragon -

I'm really confused as to what you are saying here. Can you please better describe the issue. What text are you "selecting" (are you saying you're pushing the button "About LibreOffice" in which case...what is being "selected?).

Marking NEEDINFO - please provide clearer details and then set to UNCONFIRMED. Thanks!

It happens on any selectable text in the "About LibreOffice" subwindow. For example if you select from the middle of the letter c of the word "Locale" to the end of the word you will see that doing this to the left does not include the c while doing this to the right does include the c. The issues are basically:

- Selecting the word to the right does always cause the c to be selected no matter where the mouse cursor on the c exactly is.
- Selecting the word to the left does never cause the c to be selected no matter where the mouse cursor on the c exactly is.

This is inconsistent with selecting any text in the document because selection of a character seems to depend there if more of 50% of it got selected which looks more correct.
