Open a 3d chart in edit mode and the Z axis and Z axis title checkboxes in the Elements content panel are still disabled. Can you show me such a document? There are different kinds of 3D charts and not all support z axis elements.
Steps: 1) Open Writer 2) Insert Chart 3) Open chart type dialog and check 3d look 4) Z axis and Z axis title checkboxes are disable, though Z axis checkbox is checked 5) Exiting and re-entering chart edit mode wont make the checkboxes enable
Ok, this is actually most likely the correct behavior. The chart has actually a useless z-axis that you can not influence. If it is there or not does not make a difference. However the model correctly reports that the axis is there. Now if you go to a real 3D chart and not just a chart with 3D looks the checkboxes are also enabled.
Markus Mohrhard committed a patch related to this issue. It has been pushed to "master": http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=9d31c61103e91ecd4e24d9fb7838f49481ac2f0f enable z axis objects when changing chart type, tdf#94290 It will be available in 5.1.0. The patch should be included in the daily builds available at http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours.
