Description oka 2015-09-28 04:59:32 UTC
Overline formatting is not saved in docx. To repeat the problem:
1. create a new Writer document.
2. type some words
3. Highlight those words
4. Click menu Format -> Character
5. Under "Overline" change the option to "Single", the words highltighted will have an overline.
6. Close the file, and save as "Docx".
7. Re-open the file. The overline is not shown.

Hi Oka,

Thanks for your report.
But could that be a limitation of the docx file format?
At the latest ODF plugfest, there was a test showing that MsOffice doesn't support overlining too in ODF..

Cheers - Cor

I think you are right. It seems there is no easy way to create overline in Microsoft Word like in LibreOffice.

Thanks for confirming. Lets set as NotOurBug then.
