Andras: is this a natural limitation due to Java being disabled?
Comment 2 Andras Timar 2015-10-02 19:23:33 UTC
It's not because of the disabled Java, but it can be a side effect of sandboxing. I'll check.

This is still present in LO Vanilla. While it has only a single report about this since 2015, it is a core function that would be quite annoying to not have in e.g., my daily work.

Severity is not critical, though - not comparable to inability to save documents: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/0/06/Prioritizing_Bugs_Flowchart.jpg

This is a limitation by Apple Appstore Sandboxing. Same limitation has also e.g. NeoOffice Appstore version.
Comment 9 Alex Thurgood 2023-03-28 11:10:45 UTC
Wouldn't it be better to remove the menu entry completely then, rather than just grey it out ?

Greying it out makes it appear that the function could be activated in some way, whereas that isn't the case.

OK, this was for LO Vanilla, but the community version released via the AppStore does the same thing.

@publy I guess the question is rather easy for you to answer as you have already done this in NeoOffice: the "send to" menu is sandboxed. So sending mail should open Apple Main - but everything else will not work, right?
