I tried several times to install libreoffice 5.02 on Mac and on Windows (via parallels) and in both cases the system crashes. A black windows appears and I have to reboot the computer or kill the application.
what is "parallels" ? could you explain it?
(In reply to tommy27 from comment #1) > what is "parallels" ? Not familiar with it, but I think it's the same that was mentioned in Bug 94686 comment 13. nicola: Can you confirm this?
Parallels, VMWare Fusion ,and Oracle VM VirtualBox are all hosting environments supporting OS X with guest virtual machine OSs. When properly configured, they allow OS X to host other operating systems as virtual machine guest operating systems. Configuration and installation of programs onto the VM is then in all facets identical as if the OS was installed natively. We need more detail about the build of Windows hosted under Parallels, and which flavor of the LibreOffice installer was used (64-bit, or 32-bit). As to any error when installing the OS X native .dmg package that is likely and unrelated issue--just happens to be on the same system. What release of OS X, what build of Parralels and please calculate HASH values for the downloaded LibreOffice installer for each OS.
