What method do you use to access the network folder?
Does it happen with any document with pictures?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.

I should not attach document with personal information.

> if i click on pasted calc document image disappear after few second...

The problem is about Calc document or about Draw document ?

In the attached document images are not linked from a network folder.

Images are lost when editing the embedded GDI object.

Images are linked, you can't lost something you have not.

Christophe: did you try to save the included Calc file with embedded images?
To do that : in Calc, menu Edition > Link... then break all links and save the file, then insert the file in the Draw document.
Does that help?

Hello Christophe, *,
thank you very much for reporting this bug :) I can confirm it with the following steps:

1. Download your attached file
2. Open it in LO
3. Double click on the image below the second blue line
4. You will see a table with placeholders instead of images
5. Click somewhere next to the table to get it back in Draw

All images disappeared ... :(

Tested with

OS: Debian Testing AMD64
LO: Version: 5.3.1.1
Build ID: 72fee18f394a980128dc111963f2eefb05998eeb
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.5; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk2; Layout Engine: new;
Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group

back to

OOo: 3.2.0 OOO320m12 (Build:9483)
(my oldest version, parallel installed via the instructions from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux)
so setting the version to "Inherited From OOo".

HTH
Thomas.

Comment 13 christophe_y2k 2017-03-04 00:50:53 UTC
hi all,
thanks to reply me but we are in 2017 and i send this bug in 2015.
now i use another more recent version of libre office.

i do not use (known) the method " in Calc, menu Edition > Link... then break all links and save the file, then insert the file in the Draw document."

the solution have found and working today with recent libreoffice version is to
modify the local temp directory.

i setup temp folder for libreoffice in my home user directory, i think gentoo system (with systemd) temp directory was purged too rapidly and since i modify in libre office settings this tmp folder i never loosing inserted pictures, even if my doc is in my linux network folder with image directory or if my document was on my computer and image folder in network folder. I just insert image from network folder in my calc document and do not use draw, now i export directly my doc in pdf from calc.
the only bug is when i move or resize my picture inserted, that do not delete the first image, i must to manually delete it. ex when i resize(with mouse) image that create new smaller image but not erase the precedent biggest image.
But this bug is less problematic

(Sorry for my poor english)

Thanks, let's close this then.

You can report your other problem as a new bug or maybe ask/check in http://ask.libreoffice.org/ first
