Steps:
1) create a brand new odb file (hsql embedded)
2) create a table with wizard with 2 fields taskid, Notes => finish button, close table 
3) click Reports on Database pane (at left)
4) Create a report in Design view
5) Click 'Chart' icon in toolbar
6) Draw chart
7) Crash

Could confirm this buggy behavior.
Same behavior when trying to open a report with a chart.

Oliver Specht committed a patch related to this issue.
It has been pushed to "master":

tdf#94965: crash in report wizard fixed

It will be available in 5.1.0.

The patch should be included in the daily builds available at
http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/ in the next 24-48 hours. More

Affected users are encouraged to test the fix and report feedback.
