Should the LO 5.1 Release Notes
[https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/5.1#Unicode_character_input_with_Alt.2BX]
"Toggles (switches back and forth) between the character to the left of the cursor and its Unicode notation."

be updated to include right-to-left (RTL) languages?
eg "Toggles (switches back and forth) between the character to the left(LTR)/right(RTL) of the cursor and its Unicode notation."

Thank you
Comment 1 Justin L 2015-10-17 04:06:38 UTC
Testing to confirm that alt-X works properly in RTL and other non-L2R contexts is required.

simpler wording?? "Toggles (switches back and forth) between the character before the cursor and its Unicode notation."

Arabic writing sample, right-to-left (RTL) language, letters of the alphabet typed from a to z.

1. Place the cursor before the 3rd character (3 in from the right)

شلاؤيثبلاهتنمةىخحضقسفعرصءغئ

2. Alt+X

3. Unicode representation jumps to the 3rd position from the left. It is not between the 2nd and 4th character.
