Interesting ... can't reproduce with ~2 days old master build (Linux F21, KDE UI) @Jochen: What version of LibO do you use? ('Version' field only says 'unspecified') If on Linux, what desktop environment | UI plugin?
I discovered it on linux, debian installation and mate desktop with LibreOffice version 5.0.2.2. I reproduced the same behaviour on a brand new ubuntu installation 15.04 from a friend where I don't have access right now, so I don't know the LibreOffice version. I tried a virtual machine with ubuntu 15.04 and LibreOffice 4.4.2.2 where I could NOT reproduce it. I could also NOT reproduce it on a scientific linux 6 installation with gnome desktop and LibreOffice 4.2.8.2. So it seems to be a bug introduced later.
No crash here. Win 7 Pro 64-bit, Version: 5.0.2.2 (x64) Build ID: 37b43f919e4de5eeaca9b9755ed688758a8251fe Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI)
I tried again today on my friends machine with ubuntu 15.04 with unity desktop and LibreOffice version 5.0.2.2 -> Crash
Repro crash. Ubuntu 15.10 64-bit Version: 5.0.2.2 Build ID: 00m0(Build:2) Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8)
On pc Debian x86-64 with LO Debian package 5.0.3.1, I could reproduce this but I don't reproduce this with master sources updated yesterday (14fc882e5c01e110d0fea7fb08489a0f0e98dbe6).
This is most likely gtk3-only issue @Jochen: You happen to have libreoffice-gtk3 package installed? Can you still reproduce the bug if you either i) uninstall it ii) run LibreOffice from commandline like this: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk soffice But it also seems to be 5.0-only issue, as it looks like fixed in master and we just need to find the right patch(es) to backport
(In reply to Katarina Behrens (CIB) from comment #7) > This is most likely gtk3-only issue > > @Jochen: You happen to have libreoffice-gtk3 package installed? Can you > still reproduce the bug if you either I'm not Jochen, but I don't have the package installed.
This one was elusive - but here it is: (footnote: why do you guys in CERN use LibO Calc, even more so charts, when you have much superior Root? :) :D ) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 94848 ***
Because we might have the biggest machine, but we don't use it to heat up our food, we use a simple microwave ;)
