Description Martin Houston 2015-10-28 10:19:06 UTC
When pasting multi line tab separated output from a terminal into the spreadsheet the first 2 lines are missing.

They are visible in the paste dialog but never make it into the sheet!

It is possible to paste these two lines one at a time but not together.

Problem is trivial to reproduce:

echo -e "First\tLine\nSecond\tLine\nThird\tLine\n"

run that and paste the output into a new sheet. Choose tab as input sep.

You will see all 3 lines in that dialog box but only "Third Line" makes it to the sheet.

Expect this is trivial off by 2 error somewhere....

Hello, I have not problem with your example. Are you sure that in import dialog you have value "From row" = 1? It's third field from the top.

Hi Raal, You are correct I missed that it had defaulted in this case to line=3
When I did it a second time the line was line=1 and when restarted, scalc.exe the line was persistent at line=1 now. Not sure why it went to line=3

Now I that I'm paying attention not to overlook that feature, it's working as expected. Thanks you for the correction. Best Regards, Lee Studley
