Description Vossman 2015-10-29 14:56:09 UTC
Created attachment 120079 [details]
Minimal Presentation that demonstrates error.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open copy_paste_error.odp
2. copy slide 2 (command-C on Mac)
3. paste (command-V on Mac)

result:
two copies of slide 1, one copy of slide 2

expected result:
two copies of slide 2, one copy of slide 1

conclusion:
the paste command only pastes slide 1

Notes:
* duplicate slide 2 works
* if I include slide 3,4,5,... it only pastes slide 1.
* you can change slide 1 and it pastes that
* you can re-sort slides, and it this case it copies slide 1. In my larger document slide 1 is in position 10.
* was a problem in 5.0.1 final, 5.0.2 final, and 5.0.3.1 on Mac OS X, may be earlier version, but did not see this in 4.3 (I never used 4.4 due to major bugs on Mac)
* has happened on different presentation files, but not all

tested on RHEL 6.7 64-bit LibreOffice 5.0.2.2 and with the attached document I was able to replicate the problem but if I first duplicate Slide 2 and then copy/paste that, it works without problems. Also creating a clean Impress presentation did not reveal this problem, so it looks like some corruption on the attached doc only.
Comment 2 Vossman 2015-10-30 13:17:26 UTC
Interesting that it replicates on Linux. I was thinking corrupt file, but I have several like this.

Any good ideas for a work around?

* If I open a new file, and do Insert->File...; I get both slides, the the error in comment #1 still applies.
* If I open a new file, and paste both slides; I get to copies of Slide 1.

I have documents that need fixing.

[changing to status NEW, since @AriLatvala confirmed it]
Comment 3 Vossman 2015-10-30 13:45:20 UTC
to confirm it is a corrupt file.

rm -fr ~/Library/Application Support/LibreOffice/
installed LO 3.3.4 (32bit) for Mac

Work around seems to be 'insert duplicate' all corrupted slides (slide 2 in this case). I am unsure if it slide 1 or slide 2 that is corrupt in some of my other files.

This is almost working like a virus, but I feel it is expanding to other presentations of mine.
