1. A 10-page file is created in Writer and submitted for editing in a MSWord environment.
2. The editor makes some changes that are clearly rendered in LibreOffice.
3. The original author wants to reject some of these changes in the middle of the document and highlights the corresponding fragment of the document, but LO in the "Accept or reject changes" window returns back to the beginning of the document (and does not reject the changes).
4. This happens in OS 10.7.5 Lion, but works correctly in OS 10.6.8!
5. Regretfully, I cannot attach the document.

@Haim : unfortunately, without a test document, we can not confirm the bug report.

You state that the document was produced on OSX 10.7.5, then used in a MSWord environment, however, you do not mention whether this is MSWord on Mac, and which version that might be (2008 ? 2011 ?) or whether the document is opened in a Windows MSWord environment.

You also do not say whether the document was initially created as an ODT, then exported to a MSWord format, or whether the MSWord environment you mention is attempting to import an ODT document (in which case, it is a Windows only setup, as Office for Mac doesn't support ODF).

There is further the problem, that you are using an OS version which is no longer officially supported - 4.3.7 release is the final version for OSX 10.6-10.7, so any bugs (new or old) will almost certainly not get fixed.

I fear that this report will be closed as invalid.

Setting to NEEDINFO as there is missing information that would be useful at least for someone else still having OSX 10.7 around to try and test on.

The document was initially created in Writer but immediately saved as "docx". After that, many changes were made to the document using Writer but always saved as "docx", and finally the document was delivered to the MSWord environment.

I do not know whether the MSWord environment was on a Mac but suspect that it was on Windows.

I would also like to reiterate that the problem does not appear in OS 10.6.8! It means that in a 10.6.8 environment "reject changes" works correctly for this document.

@Haim : thank you for the update.

So, for those who would like to try and reproduce :

1) Create a Writer document, type a few paragraphs (or use the lorem ipsum extension) and save as docx.

2) Edit the docx in Writer with change tracking activated, and make a few changes, still saving as docx.

3) Open the docx in a Windows environment, make some more changes (with change tracking activated), and re-save.

4) Re-open the docx document in Writer and try to refuse some of the new changes.

@Haim : unfortunately, it makes no difference to the resolution of this bug whether it works in 10.6.8 and not in 10.7.5 - LO in its current versions is no longer "officially" supported on OSX 10.6 or 10.7 - this means that no one will work on fixing problems linked to those specific versions of OSX, nor will they attempt to fix any 4.3.x versions.

4.3.x went EndOfLife (EOL) in May 2015.
