Description Thibault Molleman 2015-11-12 21:39:34 UTC
Here's what I do:
I make a label page using the label maker for 'Avery A4' 'L7163'(options 'synchronise contents').
And then I click on a label border and right click it, open 'Frame'.
I go to the 'Type' tab and at the bottom I change the position, vertical to center and page text area. This makes the label center on the page but when I want to undo it, Undo doesn't work.

If I didn't explain it well, here is a video of the process:

Thanks

Bodhi 3.x
LibreOffice 5.0.4 developer version

Confirmed:

Setting as:
New;
Minor - can slow down professional quality work but won't prevent it;

Low - not going to impact a ton of users - very specific set of steps using a feature that is not used by the majority of people.

@Thibault - if you want to test older versions that would be great to determine if this is a regression or not. If it's a regression QA can do additional steps to figure out what went wrong.

I suggest testing 4.0, 3.6.0, and 3.3.0: http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

I have tested following versions:

4.0.0.3 Issue also happens

3.3.0.4 Issue also happens but when I try to undo it actually does do 'something': https://youtu.be/7lN0n1RhOms

3.6.0.4 Issue also happens but when I try to undo it actually does do 'something': https://youtu.be/nLBLF2rlrCY

The way I discovered this bug is that I was trying to vertically center text inside of a label but I still don't understand how to do it.

Updating version field to reflect new findings. not a regression - seems like it's been around for a long long time. Thanks for checking!

Dear Thibault Molleman,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
