Description rechaviab 2015-11-17 08:54:22 UTC
When I type a word the software doesn't recognize and marks as an error, and then right-click the word (which is supposed to display correction options, ignore, ignore all, add to dictionary, etc) - the program seizes and I have to shut it down and restart it.

Hmm actually severity should be higher :)

Do you have this enabled by any chance: Tools - Options - LibO - View - Use OpenGL for all rendering?

I could not reproduce this myself.

I do have that enabled, yes. I checked.

Ok, so if you disable it and restart LibreOffice entirely, does the problem go away? (Lots of weird issues due to OpenGL enabled by default)

Beluga - wish I could buy you some caviar. It worked! Thanks a lot. But won't unchecking that thingy disable anything I actually need?

The engineering steering committee has discussed disabling it by default in 5.0.4 and focusing on doing it right in 5.1. It was enabled by default in 5.0, so you won't miss anything by keeping it disabled.

I will add this to the 5.0+ opengl meta bug 93529

I don't see this happening in the TDF 5.0.3.2 on my machine. Possibly depends on graphics card.

Request for the ones that had this problem: could you get your OGL information and let us know in a comment?
Here is how you can get it: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/OpenGL#Windows

So much fixed since 5.0.3 - please - can you re-test in 5.1.0 RC2 (due next week) and if it recurrs re-open the bug ? =)
