It is an interesting concept to change it into a split button, but I dont think users want to cycle through views. They want to jump to a particular view and likely jump back to Normal view once they are finished.
I think this needs a concrete proposal, so pinging UX team
Admittedly I don't get the point with "3D Objects". But if this is about View > View Tabs Bar and the request is to switch the view per ctrl+tab I doubt it's possible since the tabs would need to have the focus.
