This is possibly related to https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92380 — but when I resize the LO window with the Styles Pane open, as the window is made smaller, the style previews disappear one-by-one. I attach a screencast.

OS X 10.11.2 and LO 5.0.4 and 5.2nightly

Yes, my machine is a retina Macbook Pro. Often HiDPI can cause redraw issues in LO not seen in non-retina displays...

I've also tried turning OpenGL OFF and no difference, disappearing style names still happens

Correction :

Mac mini with external VGA 1068*768 resolution monitor

I'm setting this to all OSes as the related bug affects Windows and Linux, and the rendering is similar so until then assume this is a cross-platform UI bug. Alex isn't on a retina display so this can't be related to HiDPI...
