When setting a 1280x1024 (or oversized picture than the page heigh/width) image in the background (Page... or page style settings > Area > Import a picture), 2 issues : 1) Mosaic and Auto Adapt unchecked, shift X and shift Y don't work. The settings can't be change back while not select again the image 2) All changes are not saved : once the file is closed and opened, the picture is back to auto-size, original and all modifications are lost. I found this problem with the last 4.4.6.3 stable release, the 4.4.5.2 doesn't show this... In advance, please accept my apologizes if i missed something in my post, that's my first one here ^^
Hydros: for the test, could you give a try to 5.0.3?
Trying with 5.0.3.2 : same bug + no scroll buttons beside shift X/Y
Hydros - Can you attach a simple test case that works in 4.4.5.2 but fails in 4.4.6? That will help tremendously. Marking as NEEDINFO. Once you attach a test case please set to UNCONFIRMED. Thanks
Created attachment 121056 [details] Demo file : background image set
Here the demo in video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttqGOsJEQo4 Note : i do not own the picture, randomly taken on google

The autofit thing is solved in 5: bug 95850 As to the shift x & y: it seems to be related to how you have the position defined as upper right corner. Shifting happens, if I try with some others like center, left middle.. That's why I'm not sure if there is a bug. It seems you remember wrong. Shift x or y do NOTHING in your test file opened with 4.4.5.2. Please install 4.4.5.2 with SI-GUI and test it. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/SI-GUI Dl link: http://tdf.io/siguiexe Setting to NEEDINFO while we wait. Tested on Win 7 Versio: 4.4.5.2 Käännöksen ID: a22f674fd25a3b6f45bdebf25400ed2adff0ff99 Maa-asetus: fi_FI
It seems that this problem was solved in the new version 5.x ; shift x/y look to work fine.
Thank you for testing :) Setting to WFM as the fix is unknown.
