There is no means by which I can export a single image from a document from Writer and save it as an image outside of the document.
Hi arturfracek, jtcmh13: Thanks for your interest and reporting! Select Image > Context menu > Save image .. WorksForMe, anyways in 5.1.0rc1 (and other recent versions). Please check your findings on a recent version too. Cheers - Cor
Created attachment 121624 [details] Example of context menu option not available for saving images from LibreOffice Writer As is shown in the attachment, I do not have a context menu to save an image from Writer. However, it should probably be noted that this is a Microsoft Word document and the image in question has been modified in Word. When working in word, if the image is reset, LibreOffice will recognize it.
Thanks! Can you attach a sample document please? What LibreOffice versions and OS?
Created attachment 121647 [details] Example Microsoft Word document with manipulated images that cannot be saved out of LibreOffice Writter I am using LibreOffice 5.0.2.2 on Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)
Created attachment 121652 [details] image of the situation thank you. If you open the Navigator (F5) you'll see one image (#3) and two Draw objects, representing a picture... The context menu of the draw objects does not offer Save image. That is by design. Draw objects are not images. The context menu of Image #3 does offer Save image
So it's not a bug.
(In reply to jtcmh13 from comment #0) > There is no means by which I can export a single image from a document from > Writer and save it as an image outside of the document. But if you copy the object from Writer to a Draw file, the context menu does offer "Save image" ;) HTH - Cor
