Having spent time on creating a DB I want to hand the DB management to someone else. 
I want to leave notes in the DB so that the next DBA knows the business rules and understands why things were done they were they done... I want to leave comments in the odb but can't... 

please consider providing functionality for a DBA to leave comments in the relationships and in the table descriptions. Thank you.

Completely reasonable request. Marking as NEW.

Note: There is a *very* good chance that this will never be implemented (at minimum it will take a very long time). I've only confirmed that it's a reasonable request, a developer will have to find it interesting enough to implement. Developers are volunteers, we only have 2-3 working actively in Base.
