.docx files show a word count of zero when they contain text. Highlighting words gets counted as word count. Steps to reproduce: type some stuff, save as .docx, close and restart, either look at the word count at the bottom of the page or else check tools -> word count
tested under Win8.1 x64 and word count works fine using LibO 5.0.4.2 you should upgrade to latest 5.0.5.2 release and tell if the bug persists on Linux or if it was just a bug of the old not up-to-date release you are using (5.0.2.2) status NEEDINFO
