Description Orwel 2016-03-03 15:17:36 UTC
Reproducing:
1. Open an odt file with some numbered paragraphs (or create some inside the document).
2. Open Fields-Cross reference.
2a. (for further purposes) move the Fields window a little bit (e. g. to the right corner of LibreOffice)
3. Go back (focus) to the document and WRITE some text to the document (Fields window is still visible).
4. Insert a comment (at this point you see the Fields window disappearing to the background)and write something into the comment.
5. Switch the cursor (using the mouse) back to the document.

Expected behaviour:
1. The cursor should go back to the last possition in the document (where the comment was put) and the Fields windows should became visible (or should not even disappear to the background).

Real behaviour:
You get focused on Fields window (which LO furthermore move to the centre of the screen in case 2a) instead of the document itself. So you have to use the mouse one more time to switch to the document again and move the fields window again (in case of 2a).

Bug noticed on LO: 5.1.0.3 and also 4.4.6.3

Hi Orwel,

Please just attach a simple test document for step 1. Always better to just include a simple test case instead of asking others to replicate the document from scratch :)

Marking as NEEDINFO, once attached, set to UNCONFIRMED. Thanks!

Alright:) I just tought it was easier to make this 3 simple steps on a blank document rather than download a new one:) In other cases I always attach the file.

Reproduced.

It is true that no example document is needed. It has to be experienced.

The bug is still present.
The only change is that the part of comment: "(which LO furthermore move to the centre of the screen in case 2a)" is not valid (the CR-window appears on the same position), but everything else is still present.
Tested on Win10 64-bit and LO Version: 5.2.7.2 (x64)

UPDATE:
Still present in 7.0.4,
The CR-window (see Comment 7) does NOT appear on the same position AGAIN.

You still have to:
1. Move the CR-window (it is focused before the text although you had moved it to the side).
2. Click on the document again(and you loose your last position of the cursor).

The bug is still present in 7.6.4.1, although confirmed 8 year ago by Buovjaga 2016-03-10.
